A Red-Headed Muse

Pamela Susan Courson was born on December 22nd, 1946 in Weed, California, and was the longterm/common law-wife of Doors frontman Jim Morrison. It's not really clear on how she met Jim though. They where together from 1965 to Jim's death in 1971. Pam and Jim's relationship was very stormy, with heated arguments and long seperations, but somehow, they always came back to each other no matter who they where with before. Morrison's books of poetry are dedicated to her, and also various songs. He actually bought her a store, and it was called "Themis", a botique that Pam ran for a while. It was known that the botique was opened at odd hours.
Pam's family supposedly was one that did not mix with neighbors much. Pam was a good student until her Juniour Higschool years, and she did not like High School very much. She was a smart woman though, who atended L.A City College, where she studied art. Actually, if you go on some of the videos on Youtube about her and Jim, there is this notebook or whatever, and it has a bunch of stuff like drawings and poems. There are pictures of the pages, and she has her signature on the notebook. There is one really good drawing in it, and on the top left, I noticed the anitials "PC" on top.
People who didn't know Pam think that she was a very quite person, who seemed "weak", although that isn't really the case. She was overall a nice person, but also would not take any ones garbadge. She seemed creative, too, with all the work done at Themis, and even her art. Pam was very beautiful, with her long red hair and green eyes. It was clear enough why Jim loved her. Unfortanatly, she died of a heroin over dose on April 25th, 1974, in a apartment that she shared with two friends, at 27 like Jim. This post is a tribute to a muse, Pamela:)
